Harbor Bistro: 'Loco Moco'

Harbor Bistro – ‘Loco Moco’: Beef patty of kobe brisket, short rib, prime chuck, furikake rice, mushroom pan sauce, over easy egg.

This is new on the menu at Harbor Bistro this summer season. No surprise that just like the rest of the menu, the Loco Moco is delicious! The ‘Loco Moco’ is made up of: A beef patty of kobe brisket, short rib, prime chuck, furikake rice, mushroom pan sauce, over easy egg.

I like my red meat cooked medium so that’s how I ordered mine. The chefs totally cook it to perfection, and it melts in your mouth with every bite. It’s juicy and flavorful. The reason I really love it though is because of the furikake rice. It’s such a nice change from the typical bread or lettuce bun. If you’ve had a burger with an over easy egg, then you probably know just how messy they can be. You can only pick up the burger for so long before it falls apart in your hands. The rice makes all the difference in the world. Soaking up the egg and the juicy au jous from the meat and mushroom pan sauce. It’s a heavenly meal and I totally recommend it to any and all meat lovers. It's incredibly filling so you may want to go light on the appetizers or plan to take it home. I've had it reheated the next day for lunch and it's just as good. In fact, it's so good that when I was sitting in Starbucks eating it, multiple people walked up to me asking what I was eating and where I got it from.
